Terms and Conditions
Old rectory endeavor to make your online purchasing experience simple and straight-forward. With such care taken in designing and developing our products we want you to receive them in pristine condition. Mindful of this we package and post our products to you using biodegradable packaging that will not harm our environment and we choose careful carriers who will look after your products in transit. Please take a moment to read through our procedures so you are fully aware of our terms by which we operate. The following general terms and conditions apply to www.oldrectory.ie, a site operated by Old Rectory Design ltd. The Old Rectory. Dunganstown, Wicklow, Rep of Ireland.
1- The contract between Old Rectory and you
By placing an order on the Old Rectory website, you agree to abide by our terms and conditions. Orders can be placed only between Old Rectory Design Ltd (herein referred to as ‘(Old Rectory’) and a non- trading physical person (‘you’)
2 - Online ordering
We must receive payment of the whole of the price of the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Your payment for the price of the goods represents an offer on your part to purchase the goods, which will be accepted by us when we send you an email that the goods have been sent to you. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between Old Rectory and you.
3 – Ordering by phone
You may also place your order by phone: 00353 86 2887251/ 00353 868970868 (10am-5pm Monday-Friday). We accept all major credit and debit cards over the phone. Like our online ordering procedure we must receive full payment of the whole of the price of the goods that you order by phone before your order can be accepted. Your paid-for goods and receipt of payment will then be sent to you within 2-3 working days.
4 - Product availability
Old Rectory Products are subject to availability. We try to ensure that stock availability shown on the website is as up-to-date as possible. However if an Old Rectory Product is out of stock at a time when we receive the order, we will inform you by email ; you will then have the choice of waiting until that item is back in stock, of choosing an alternative item or cancelling your order and obtaining a full refund. Please ensure that you give us your email details in case we need to contact you with regard to this matter
5 - Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order
You will need to provide us with your email address and we will notify you by email as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order and to confirm details. An acceptance of your order will take place on despatch of the good(s) ordered.
6 - Ownership and Copyright
All rights, including copyright in this website are owned by or iicensed to Old Rectory Design Ltd. Any use of this website or it’s contents including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your personal and non-commercial use is prohibited without permission of Old Rectory Design Ltd
7 - Descriptions and Specifications
At Old Rectory, we endeavour to display as accurately as we reasonably can the true colours of Old Rectory products. However, we cannot guarantee that the colour of an Old Rectory Product as delivered will replicate how it appeared to you on-screen; in part, this is dependent upon your computer’s display monitor, and how you perceive colour. All sizes and measurements concerning Old Rectory products are as accurate as we can reasonably make them.
8 –Prices
Our prices are shown in pounds sterling, goods are invoiced in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT. They are guaranteed except in the case of a typographical or printing error. If you see any prices you believe to be incorrect please contact us so we can correct this for you. Prices do not include delivery charges – this is an additional cost (in pounds sterling) charged to you as described on our website.
9 – Delivery Information
We aim to despatch orders within 24 hours of receipt of your order.
With friends and customers living in the far reaches of the world we offer a worldwide delivery service. We want you to receive your items in as fast a time as possible and in pristine condition so for your convenience and assurity we use a ‘signed for’ delivery service with An Post. An Post will link up with a reputable courier in your country and delivery the goods to your door where they will require the parcel to be signed for, so don't forget to supply us with a delivery address that will have someone there so sign for your goods.
10 - Import Duty
Purchasers are responsible for import duties and taxes, which may be levied once a shipment reaches your country. Old Rectory is not responsible for any additional charges for customs clearance. If you wish to find out more information please contact your local Customs and Excise office.
**International shipments that are subject to cross-border inspections by customs authorities may cause a delay in delivery – Old Rectory cannot be held responsible for this delay.
11 –Damages and loss in transit
We endeavor to provide beautiful products that are delivered to you in pristine condition. However, occasionally things get lost or damaged in transit. If you do not receive goods ordered within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them please inform us of this by email of telephone. We have no obligation to retrieve or replace your goods unless you notify us. If this happens to you please advise us within 60 days of the date on which you ordered your goods and we will endeavor to recover your lost goods or replace your goods. As we only ship goods that are to our knowledge of the highest quality we would require your efforts in trying to recover costs from our chosen carrier if your goods arrive damaged due to battered transport. If you receive damaged goods please retain all relevant documentation so that an insurance claim can be made against our carrier’s insurers. If you receive a battered parcel please note this fact on your delivery docket where possible. If the parcel that you receive is damaged so that you cannot retrieve the goods please sign for it as ‘Damaged package. Good not yet inspected’. Whatever the circumstances please contact us by email or telephone as soon after delivery as possible so that we can arrange replacement goods.
12 - Returns and Refunds
If you were not satisfied with the items ordered, you may receive a full refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase (shipment date) on unused, unwashed, in its original packaging merchandise. If we find that the product has not been returned to us in fully resalable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item. In the case of faulty goods we will reimburse you in full (the cost of the product and postage). In the case of non-faulty goods we will reimburse you for the cost of the product only – please insure that these products are returned to us in their original condition and in their packaging. **Please note merchandise purchased from other retailers, including department stores or specialty stores must be returned to the store from which it was originally purchased, and is subject to the return policy of the originating retailer. Old Rectory online order returns will not be accepted by resellers of our products.
13 –Privacy Policy
Old Rectory is committed to exercising all precautions in keeping information supplied to us by customers strictly confidential. You must remember that when using our website to order goods or request information you will be asked to provide certain information such as your contact and email address. We may then use this information to advice you of goods and services that we feel may be of interest to you, unless instructed otherwise in writing. We do not supply our mailing list to any third parties. Information supplied to us may be stored on a computer system for our convenience but will not be supplied to anyone outside Old Rectory. We may also use your contact details for our own product analysis and to develop and improve our services and products to you.
14 - Law and Jurisdiction
All transactions undertaken through this website are governed by Irish Law. Legal actions arising out of such transactions shall be subject to the Irish Legal System and under the jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
